What is VirtualPitstop?
An iPhone app for people who love cars. You spot cars in the wild and collect them in your Carspot Dex, show the cars you own (and owned) in your garage, and pin photo locations and routes on your map. With an optional account you can add friends and share posts.
Do I need an account?
No. The Dex, your garage and your map work without an account, and then everything stays on your iPhone. You only need an account for the community: friends, posts, likes and comments.
How do I add a friend?
Open your profile and tap the QR button at the top left. Your friend scans your code in the app (Scan a code), or finds you with Find people in the Feed. Then tap Follow. If your account is private, you confirm friend requests yourself.
Who can see my garage?
You choose: everyone who can see your profile, or friends only. Change it any time under Profile → Community → Garage for friends only.
How do I report a post or a person?
Tap the ••• menu on the post, comment or profile and choose Report. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. You can also block an account from the same menu.
I forgot my password.
On the log-in screen, tap Forgot password?. We'll e-mail you a code to set a new password.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Community → Delete account. This removes your account, profile, posts, photos, likes, comments and friends from our server straight away. What's on your iPhone stays until you choose Profile → Settings → Delete all data, or delete the app.
Where is my data stored?
Without an account: only on your iPhone. With an account, what you share is stored with Supabase in the European Union. Read the full privacy policy.
